Mrs. Dundas teaches the MD class at Marina del Re Middle School. She is highly qualified with over 17 years of experience providing service to individuals with special needs. She is a certified education specialist for students with moderate to severe disabilities and to teach students in resource. Education includes: M.A. - Education B.A. - Psychology specializing in behavior management, auxiliary therapies such as art, music, dance B.A. - Music BCMT - Board Certified Music Therapist
B.I.C.M. - Behavior Intervention Class Manager
The Multiple Disabilities class and Other Health Impaired class will be combined in the 2010/11 school year. Mrs. Dundas creates and implements a diversified curriculum according to each student's strengths and needs. Social skills, multi-modal communication skills and behavior modification is emphasized in her classroom. Academic standards are gleaned from the alternative district curriculum. Functional skills are inherent within all academic skills taught.
The classroom is situated on the Marina del Rey Garden - The garden provides an enriching environment for the students spend their time learning and growing in Mrs. Dundas' classroom.
